Happy Mothers' Day
06/05/2005

Today is a celebration of all mothers
Mine, yours, and all others
Whether you are young or old
With a beard or bold

Whether you are single or married
As long as you are not buried
You can be, heterosexually or gay
Bisexual or the kind that just play

Whether you are rich or poor
Healthy or seeking cure
Happy, sad or in between
Or just pretending to fit into the scene

If you are living here on earth
Who do you think gave your birth?
Everyone has a mother
Who gave to you life rather

Non of us remember the day we were born
We were too busy blowing our horn
We then got busy with our lives
The battle that we strived to just survive

Are Mothers just our transportation?
To bring us here to this station?
Is it really all that mothers are?
Our personal driver and a car

When I think of my mother there is so much more
She is a part of my being and core
She is not only responsible for my creation
Or giving me my life's learning's and fascination

She is not only the one who taught me the most
Or gave me flash and bones so I don't look like a ghost
She is the power behind my life generation
Supports me with her love and inspiration

She holds a sacred energy of motherhood
That connects us all like a brotherhood
She is mother earth, Mother Ocean , and Mother Sky
She will give you wings and teach you how to fly

She is about nurturing, holding space with compassion
A love relationship that never looses its passion
Always standing by your side to provide support
Filling in the pieces, when you fall short

A mother is a powerful collective consciousness
An ancient way of expressing love that is ageless
When I was born my first question was “what am I doing here?”
“Your father and I are in love and we couldn't think of a better way to express it dear”

You may choose a mother that did not give you birth
You may choose a mother that values your worth
A mother is a celebration of your transformation
The vibration of your of integration

If all of us came from a mother
Why arguing our differences we bother
If from the same material we are made
And the illusions of separations gets to fade
What's left is to be divine love at the core
The rest of us are made of the décor

Can you see the mother in everyone you know?
Can you become the mother wherever you go?
Especially with those you find less of affinity towards
Love them too and you will have the rewards

Mother, mom, mommy, mama, mamamia
No matter how you call your Maria
Call her today and share your love
Mommy I love you beyond and above

Love

Steven
