How much are you really worth?
Is it determined by the number of years from birth?
Is it limited by your profession of choice?
Or can it be by how loud is your voice?
Most will tell you that it is all about education
Or maybe your ability to form a corporation
They might tell you that it is about the titles following your name
The rest is just a waiting game
But isn't it all about the market competitive price
Or your ability to get a bigger slice
Your parents might tell you that it is all about how hard you work
Over time you will receive a perk even if you are just a clerk
Or that someone will finally see how good you are
And offer you to become a star
Maybe it is all about fame
Not about who you are, but who you became
For the realist it could be about how much real estate you own
Concrete numbers that can be measured in stone
Is your worth determined by your wealth?
Or maybe by the level of your health?
Who is really in charge?
Who says you are an XS or an XL
What if worth is just a game?
Of your ability to proclaim
How high can you aim?
How can you imagine your name
What if you give up shame, and blame
Letting go of a limited frame
What if worth does not need to be earned
Studied or learned
The word worth starts with a “W”
And this is the name of the a game “Double You”
Double your worth every day
For the rest of your life you may
And do not be surprised if on your last day you still find
That you have spent most of your life being blind
To seeing, believing, and expressing how amazing you really are
So is your worth up to par?
Love
