August 2006
I was sitting in a classroom for a financial seminar the other day, and coming back from lunch, I was ready to take a nap. Instead, I unplugged my ears from the presentation and observed the 20+ participants in the room.
I noticed that the majority of them were barely awake, day dreaming and wandering in their thoughts, pretending to be present. One person was passionately resisting what was being said, and another passionately loved it.
How much does this classroom represent the classroom in the world? If earth was one big, gigantic school, and all grades were mixed together, it would be difficult to tell who is a first grader and who is a PhD student, wouldn't it?
You might notice that most students of this world are sleeping most of the time, not connecting to a passion, a desire, or a life calling. We can call them the kindergarten and grade school level students.
All others could be divided into two groups:
- The high school / college level - students who found their passion and are willing to die for it
- The MBA / PhD level - students who found their passion and are willing to live for it
What kind of a student are you?
Before we continue to look at the school of earth, let's define the grade levels in my view first:
- Kindergarten - Learning to survive, not aware of any other purpose in life
- Grade school - Learning to protect self and to play with others or fight them
- High school – Students are looking for greater meaning and self expression of their individuality. They are looking to be different by rebelling against the world as it is. Easily swayed to subscribe to an organized new world order scheme through religion, cults, extreme groups, and are willing to die for the cause.
- College - Learning to fight for their passions and beliefs. More likely to create demonstrations and voice extreme opinions. They are willing to die for their cause, and teach others how to follow them
- Masters - Learning to accept the world order as divine and not have the urge to change it. Learning that this classroom is about self love, and not about anyone else out there in the world
Haven't found your passion yet?
My response in the past would have been, "keep looking". Today I would say, "do not look anymore, just create one". That's right. Make one up. As long as it inspires you, it's good for me.
If you made one up and don't particularly like it any more, then make another one up. Yes, it is that simple.
Are you willing to die for your passion?
The students who are enrolled into a belief of how the world should be (new world order), connect to a specific purpose of changing the world. An example of that are Islamic fundamentalist who believe that their life mission is to convert the world into Islam. Another example is the USA that wants to see the world as a giant democracy.
These "high-school" level students are inspired to take part in changing the world and willing to die for that cause. Suicide bombers around the world are a good example of this. Sending soldiers to fight other countries to change their regimes to protect an ideology like freedom, is another.
The "high-school" level students who graduate alive (have not died yet for their cause) who choose to go to the "college level" will most likely become teachers to the younger generation, and leaders in their communities. They will naturally become the ultimate warriors fighting for their cause, and teaching their willingness to die for a greater cause.
Why do I consider"high-school" level students who are willing to die for a cause at a higher grade then the Kindergarten and grade school?
Because by connecting to a passion so deeply, individuals are likely to be more awake, more aware, and more active in life with a deeper sense of meaning.
Is it necessary to find a passion to die for in order to graduate to finding a passion to live for?
Yes and no. Yes, it is part of the process of learning love through the duality of love and hate. Sometimes it is necessary to understand the dynamics of love and hate in the outside world before you can internalize its meaning to yourself.
No, it does not need to occur all in one life time. You can find yourself in this life time already letting go of the passion to die, and stepping right into the passion to live.
To prove this concept to yourself, ask how many times have you been a warrior in past lives and died for a cause you believe in?
Are you willing to live for your passion?
Students at this Master's level already know that life is all about love, connection and passion to fully express who you are in your totality. At this level you might still have some residual hate, anger, or frustrations from previous lives. You might still consider your purpose to be changing the world. At this classroom, you will most likely learn to focus solely on you and the expression of you love in the world, without any need to change the world.
You will learn the lessons of infinite love, gratitude, and acceptance. In turn, you will accept the world as it is. Imagine an acceptance of all the students of the world as they are. Imagine including the acceptance of the students that believe that you should die. An example of that was Jesus loving his executioners.
You will learn that we are not here to close and terminate the school of earth and let all the students go, nor it is about having all students graduate today. You might learn to rather participate in the learning for yourself, and enjoy the acceleration in your journey of love.
How do you know if you are at the PhD level?
If you find yourself spreading the teachings of love in any form that your passion leads you, you might be participating in the PhD level classroom of earth. This is considered the teaching level.
Here you will learn to fully love yourself through lessons such as:
- You teach what you need to learn the most
- A master is only a student at heart
- You would always need to let go of everything you know up to this point to make room for a new level of learning
- Constantly remind yourself that although you practice being the master, you are doing it for your own learning and therefore you are merely a student like everyone else
- The world is changing with or without you. The changes with you in it are more colorful, more vibrant, and more alive as you share your gifts
- There is no need for a new world order, but a need to simply love the divinity in the life as it is.
Does it matter at what grad level you are at?
Absolutely not. The learning, the participation, and the experiences throughout the process is a gift. What you need to be clear on is that your tuition for this school has already being paid for; the only thing you need to do to graduate, is to attend.
How important is graduation?
To the competitive and impatient one it is very important and urgent. Remember when you were a kid how you wanted to grow up so fast? You were always looking forward to be a senior. Who wants to be a freshman?
When you get to the golden years or even before, you want to slow down to delay the graduation as long as you can. Especially when you get the point of life, you want to enjoy it longer.
What if you are a PhD student in a classroom with a high-school student who wants you dead?
At the physical level you would need to defend yourself and it might cost you your life. At the spiritual level you might have to accept that they are expressing themselves to the best of their understanding of passion and life.
Some of the students might be open to higher learning, but most of them are not ready yet at this lifetime. Consider that the lives they take with them at some divine level have agreed to participate in the "high-school" student's lessons, and were willing to die for that cause.
The so-called victims already know that we are all one, and having many junior students among us lowers our collective way of being, and way of life. You might find that elevating the collective vibration level is a cause that you are willing to die for yourself and consciously identify your grad level.
What should you do?
There is nothing for you to do. You may ask yourself where you are in your life today and enjoy your classroom. Remember the tuition has been paid for, and having more fun is all up to you.
How do I know all of this?
I don't! I just made it up ;-)
Love
Steven
