October 2005

I was so ready for fun times and vacationing in October, but things didn't turned out how I thought they would. My trip to El-Golfo Mexico stopped before I crossed the border when my "Sydney" (the name of my Expedition truck) decided to blow my spark plugs and take the engine cap with it. So I spent my vacation in Yuma instead. I picked up my truck a week later.

My vacation with my parents and my niece from Israel in Disneyland, Universal Studios and Sea World California, started in heavy rain for the first 2 days, along with a very challenging niece to say the least. So my high this month was coming back home and my low was going on vacation. Can you believe it?

Needless to say we all came back very different than we left. My mom and dad below turned in to Shrek and Fiona, and myself, I lost my shirt.

But seriously I was humbled this month with feeling vulnerable, experiencing fears in every area of my life, and even managing to shed some tears. No particular reason that I can think of, other than being in the process of shedding the last few pounds of protection off my belly where I've stored a lifetime of fears.

I got a different level of appreciation and compassion for the many who are experiencing many challenges in life, but still choose to show up, to be human, to be beautiful, and to be loving. Are you one of them?

I lost my shirt have you seen it?
