January 2005
This year I got a head start back in the last two weeks of December, making a list of my resolutions for 2005. I started with a very long list and got exhausted just looking at it. Although I felt motivated to get it all done, I noticed that many of the things on my list were the same things from the 2004 list that didn't get done. I felt disappointed and frustrated that I didn't do it last year.
My New Year resolutions began to look like a bad report card from last year and not very inspiring anymore. So I began a process of resolution and forgiveness to myself for not completing what I intended to accomplish and letting go, and I got complete with it. DONE!
I started with a new blank piece of paper and focused on my heart desires. I listed only three important things that I want to create with ease this year: Money, Time, and FUN. My theme for this year is unlimited joy. That's it. No more long lists of unresolved commitments, and no more old stuff carrying over from year to year.
My strategies to accomplish the 2005 Best Year Ever resolutions:
• JUST SHOW UP and declare “HERE I AM”
• Step out of my way
• Higher level of awareness of gratitude and appreciation for all the joy that is already in my life
• Choose to look at all the stuff that is in my life not as stuff to get rid of, but look at it with a child's wonder
• Do my work to teach, coach, speak, and mentor with a child's heart and a student mind
• Merge and integrate my life with other people so I can further dissolve the illusions of separation
• Cultivating a healthy ego--one that can discern control from surrender and allow both to work together to manifest.
• Hire coaches for the different areas in my life who can support my growth in an accelerated fashion.
The only question now is: What are you going to create this year?
