February 2005
Since the beginning of the year, I have been in love, in action, in focus, and in the Zone. Being in the Zone is when you feel connected; on the right path; in alignment with your environment, your purpose, your body; and, yes, in alignment with your never ending, chattering mind too.
People often ask me, "How does one get in the zone?!" I want to share some of the things that have really helped me:
- Creating free time - Do nothing and just BE. This involves practicing meditation, yoga, getting in touch with your feelings without trying to understand them, and the willingness to be vulnerable.
- Eliminating irritations - Clear festering bothers. I identified the smallest things that annoy me (e.g., like a broken item or a commitment that I regret that I made) and take an appropriate course of action to remove or resolve them.
- Focusing on FUN - Set a daily commitment of time and action to having fun.
- Being like a child - Forget everything you know as you know it. Begin rediscovering your friends, your surroundings, and your hobbies as if you have never known them before.
- Doing what you love - The day you fall in love with your work is the day you will never have to work again.
I also want to welcome the new members to the Business Gym. We are going to be ROCKING this year!
I had an amazing three days at the Wealth Seminar in Scottsdale. I assisted as a staff member to help with the event and met incredible speakers, participants, and old friends. I couldn't believe how energized I became even after the 14 hour days. Can you tell what I love?
This event not only inspired me as a speaker, but reminded me of the box that we live in that consists of the environment and the friends we have. To expand our box is to expand our communities, both in size and in depth.
What are the communities that you belong to? How many people are you impacting with your life?
Love,
Steven Ringelstein
